Abstract

Regarding to superiority in fall sowing of chickpea, introduction of cold tolerant genotypes with high yield is necessary. Therefore, in this study, 81 cold tolerant chickpea genotypes (including kaka, jam, Karaj, ILC482, ILC3279, Flip84-48-C and Arman) were evaluated. The experiment was carried out in lattice design with 3 replication including 9 blocks per replication and 9 plots per block. phenological stages including days from sowing to emergence, emergence to flowering and flowering to ripening, morphological characteristics including plant height, number of branches per plant and sum of branches length per plant, yield components including number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod and 100 seed weight, survival percentage, seed yield, biological yield and harvest index were measured. Total precipitation amount from sowing to harvest was 267mm. Based on the results, the differences among the genotypes for all of measured traits were significant (P≥0.05). While, only one genotype (MCC951) was completely lost in seedling stage, survival percentage among the others varied from 52 to 97%. Seed yield was more than 40 g/m2 in 32% of genotypes and more than 61 g/m2 in 5% of them. There were positive and significant correlations between seed yield and vegetative period (r=0.17**), reproductive period (r=0.23**), plant height (r=0.21**) and seed weight per plant (r=0.54**). based on this results, it appears that same of the samples in chickpeas with suitable agronomical characteristics, have appropriate potential for Entazary culture.
